Fairfield Harbour Garden Club wraps up the year

Jack Halweg

The Fairfield Harbour Garden Club held the year's final meeting on November 14. A large audience came to hear Jack Halweg, the speaker, share information on his many years as a landscaper and answer questions from the audience about their gardens.

During this meeting, the November Yard of the Month winners were recognized. The winner was 2140 Royal Pines Dr. the home of John and Mary McCutcheon. The yard has a well-manicured lawn with a grouping of pine trees in the front. Around the trees are a variety of plantings providing seasonal color such as Irises, daffodils, and mums among many other flowering varieties. There is a garden in front of the porch with several flowering plants including periwinkle and a Rhododendron plant. On the porch is a planter with flowering plants and two hanging baskets making the entrance very welcoming.

The McCutcheons both enjoy working in their yard and they were very happy to be November’s Winner of the Yard of the Month. A certificate of recognition was presented to the McCutcheons. Congratulations.

The Raffle Basket winners were announced. The winners were:

  • Spa Basket: Beverly Myrseth

  • Wine Basket: Brenda Singh

  • Future Wine: Marcia Werneke
