Follies review

Updated: Oct 31, 2022

The definition of follies is a lavishly produced theatrical review characterized by major stars, huge casts, opulent costumes, and scenery.

Not to be outdone by the Ziegfield follies Be our Guest was done in the style of Fairfield Harbour and it was spectacular!

Anny Chiu’s solo performance on the piano was outstanding and took the audience on a magical musical journey.

Bill Rivera’s performance of La Bamba made me forget Lou Diamond Phillips's portrayal of Richie Valens.

Dave Archer’s “Ain’t nothin’ but a hound dog” must be seen to be believed.

Bob Dumon and his jazz assembly made The song Moonglow sounded easy and natural.

Jim Curry was perfect as the emcee as it actually requires an enormous amount of work (and talent) to make the evening's production appear effortless.

And a thank you to Linda Boryk, the Follies director. A huge shout out and kudos to the entire cast as all the skits were funny and their enthusiasm was contagious and laughter and applause filled the air.

Bravo! Bravo! Bravo!
