How does a year fly by so quickly? The New Bern VITA (Volunteer Income Tax
Assistance) team will be in Fairfield Harbour on March 4 and 22 to prepare Federal and
State taxes. This service is offered to senior citizens (65+) and lower income residents
free of charge.
We will be in the Community Center from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on March 4 and from 9 a.m, to 1
p.m. on March 22. Our aim this year is to have same-day service with few drop-offs.
Gather your paperwork in addition to last year’s return and come to see your friendly
volunteers on the 4th or 22nd.
If those dates are not convenient for you, we will be at the Harrison Center on Middle
Street in New Bern each Monday and Tuesday through April 15 (except March 4th) from
9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
