Kid Corner: Holiday Edition

Hi everyone,

This is Adrian with my Kid Corner. Thanksgiving was a really nice time to not have school, Mom and I decided I would taste every traditional Thanksgiving side dish and rate them for you all. I'll be rating mac n cheese, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, and dressing. I usually only like plain noodles and mac n cheese so this is big for me.

Mac n cheese. 5/5. Top score. Cheesy and noodles.

Mashed potatoes. 4.5/5. My grandma makes good ones, I like these but still they aren't noodles.

Greenbean Cassarole. 0/5. Mom knew I wouldn't like this, but I did like that crunchy thing on top. Too smooshy for me.

Dressing. 2/5. Everyone says this is their favorite thing my grandma makes but I did not like that there is celery in it.

After Thanksgiving on Friday we went to the festival downtown and I got a tattoo, face paint and blue hair tinsel. It was very cold but I had fun. They turned lights on a huge tree by the water and it was fun. We also ate cheeseburgers from a food truck!

Saturday night was really cold but there was a plane show we watched where they made shapes with smoke from the planes and then flew around in patterns. They made smiley faces, butterflies, hearts mainly with the place smoke. There was a drone show after that was really neat too. I wish I had a drone!

Sunday was the Fairfield Harbour Christmas parade and I got a ton of candy from all the groups. It was nice saying Merry Christmas to everyone and waving. The guy dressed as Elf was hilarious. My school may make a float next year so we can sing Christmas songs and throw candy to people.

What was your favorite side dish? I still think noodles are my favorite. Did you see any lights? I can't wait to drive around the neighborhood and see all of your lights. The color ones and inflatables are my favorites.

Catch you all next time! Merry Christmas!

-Adrian
