Nestled in the heart of Fairfield Harbour is an active and vibrant timeshare vacation facility - Resort Management Group (RMG). A timeshare, by definition, is an arrangement whereby several joint owners have the right to use a property as a vacation home under a time-sharing agreement. RMG's long history in Fairfield Harbour has amassed over 600,000 members that occupy 96 units year-round.
The first timeshare vacation units, built in the 1980s, were Fairfield Communities, which later became Wyndham Resorts.
At that time, "Fairfield Communities" sold properties and offered vacation lodging in Fairfield Harbour while potential buyers toured the area. Many folks who originally bought in Fairfield Harbour found our community through the timeshare experience.

The timeshare associations’ early years offered exceptional amenities, including a recreation center with two pools, whirlpools, tennis courts, and playgrounds for the children - all within the excitement of new community construction.

Wyndham hired RMG to manage the timeshare associations in 2011. With Aaron Maune as president, RMG evolved through the years. RMG now has 22 employees that fulfill numerous roles in the resort that range from booking guests to maintaining the units to managing the Broad Creek Recreation Center (The Rec Center.) Aaron acknowledges, "Summer is our busiest season for timeshare vacations, but we manage property rentals on a year-round basis. Our full-service property management business is thriving.”
RMG has four units: Fairway Villas, Sandcastle Village, Windjammer I, and Windjammer II. Today, the active timeshare resort has a mix of occupants that fall into three categories:
Original owners at 25%,
Exchange guests at 50%, people from all over the world that share their vacation properties
Renters, at 25%, people buying or building a new home or other renters such as traveling nurses.

RMG's Rec Center is a hub of activity for timeshare guests and Harbour residents. The Rec Center includes over 500 Fairfield Harbour members. The Rec Center offers a fitness center, two pools (one inside and one outside), a sauna, a jacuzzi, tennis courts, a playground, bikes for rent, basketball courts, mini golf, volleyball, and a pavilion that is available for rent.
The Rec Center offers many activities such as HIIT exercise classes, yoga, swimnastics, movies, and monthly special events. Sarah Hermann, Vice President, and Andrea McConnell, Resort Manager, who work full-time at RMG, are living testimonials for the Rec Center's exercise benefits. Andrea started with Wyndham Resorts as the Recreation Manager in 1999 and was promoted to Resort Manager in January 2020. Sarah teaches the yoga class on Wednesday mornings. “I want the stretching for myself, and it is rewarding to watch our members attend the class.” Andrea still teaches the High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) class Tuesdays and Thursdays. “It keeps me fit, and I enjoy helping others gain strength and focus on improving their health." Swimnastics is a popular exercise activity at the Rec Center, with various classes offered.
