All community residents are invited to join the Fairfield Harbour Yacht Club in participating in the Salvation Army Angel Program this holiday season. FHYC and our community have been supporting this very worthwhile program since 1993. Gifts for needy children will be presented to a Salvation Army representative on Saturday, December 7th. It is always heartwarming to see the truck fill up with gifts and know that our community plays a significant role in bringing joy to local children at Christmas.
Angels will be available in the POA Library beginning, Friday, November 15, 2024. There are instruction sheets along with record sheets with the Angels. If you take an Angel please be sure and sign your name and alpha/numeric code indicated on the Angel on the record sheet.
Information on each Angel includes the child’s name, age, sizes, and wishes for Santa. This is intended to help the giver in selecting a gift or gifts. Please note per the instruction sheet that all gifts are to be unwrapped, the Code Number marked on each item and all gifts for one Angel be placed in a plastic bag with the child’s name and Code Number securely attached or marked on the outside of the bag..
Gifts may be dropped off at the Community Center during the Fairfield Harbour Yacht Club Food Drive being held December 6th from 11:00 am – 4:00pm and December 7th from 8:00am – 5:00pm(Food drive continues to 8:00 pm). If you are unable to make any of these dates, please contact me, Linda Lelli, @ 252.670.3995 and I will be glad to arrange for your gift/gifts pickup.
Fairfield Harbour’s continued thoughtfulness and generosity are greatly appreciated by the Salvation Army and all the children.
